Contractor Call Outs
- The Emergency Services contact us or refer callers to our Response Centre. We record their details and requirements and give each call-out a unique individual reference number which tracks it through the system.
- Our Response Centre Co-ordinator asks a registered contractor from our database to respond to the call-out and give an ETA (Expected Time of Arrival) preferably within 40 minutes. Contractors are called in strict rotation within the area codes covered.
- If the call-out is from a member of the public or other recognised agency we will provide the contractor with details and a brief description of the service required. If the contractor accepts the call-out, he will then be logged as ‘on call’ on our system.
- A copy of the call-out details will be either faxed or e-mailed directly to the contractor as soon as he has agreed to accept the call-out.
- Once a contractor has arrived at the site we ask him to contact us to update on the situation, confirming time of arrival and to receive any additional instructions which may be necessary to complete the job in hand.
- Once the contractor has attended the call-out and carried out the work, they will contact TNT Homewatch to advise us that the job is complete and the contractor will once again be logged on the database as available to receive other call outs.
